State Championships are the culmination of the marching band season. This year’s State Championships will take place at Robbinsville High School on October 31st. Performance times for State Championships will not be available until next week. The show this weekend counts towards seeding for State Championships for everyone so scores from this weekend will need to be calculated into the seeding rubric in order to get the specific time. Our group starts at 2:45 PM and the last group performs at 5:15 PM with awards at 5:45 PM. I estimate NBTHS will be on towards the end of the block but we will not know specifics until next week.
Tickets are on sale now for State Championships! Tickets are available online and for every ticket sold online, $5 will go back to our band!!! Online tickets are only available until 11:59 PM on October 30th. If you do not purchase the tickets online the $5 per ticket will NOT go back to the band.

The band parents are selling Boo Grams leading up to State Championships as a way for friends, family, and other students to encourage our band students and staff as they prepare for State Championships. I think we can all agree that the band is having a great season and this is a great way for anyone that wants to participate to encourage our students as they prepare for States.
Boo Grams can be purchased using the link below for $1 each or 6 for $5. Each Boo Gram includes a message, small candy treat, and a Halloween squishy since State Championships are on Halloween this year. All Boo Grams must be purchased by Tuesday, October 27th and the Boo Grams will be handed out at the end of the last regular practice on Wednesday, October 28th. Boo Grams can be purchased for anyone in the marching band or any of the marching band staff. This is a great way for friends/family near and far to send good thoughts to our NBTHS Marching Band members and staff.

On Wednesday at 7:45 PM all parents are invited to watch the band’s final regular practice run of their 2026 show “The Climb” in the stadium. This is a great way to come and support your band member as they gear up for state championships. At the end of the practice the students will receive their Boo Grams as well! Thank you so much to everyone that has purchased Boo Grams. As of Friday night I have packaged 300 grams! I ordered more supplies that evening to continue filling orders that are coming in but unfortunately squishies were no longer available in time. I did find an alternate item to put in the grams that I think the students will also enjoy.

Chaperones are needed for State Championships competition. If you can chaperone please fill out the link below. If you want to give me or my son Michael your shirt on Wednesday I can put NBTHS Band on the back in yellow letters. Just put your shirt in a bag with your name on it and I will get it back to you by Saturday. It is supposed to be warm on Saturday. Order in Royal Blue to have our school colors represented. The band has been asked to participate in the Rock the Vote fundraiser again this year. They would perform on Sunday, November 1st. A schedule is to follow and will be updated on the Canva link at the beginning of this email as the information is available. This is a great way for our band to make some money and help get people to vote.
Special thanks to our photographer on senior night this week, our own David Mills! He did a wonderful job taking so many great pictures of our students. Please give him a week or so to edit the photos and then we will get them out to everyone.
Our Craft Show is rapidly approaching on November 21st. This is our 2nd biggest fundraiser of the year. We need as many parents to help at the show as possible. The NBTHS Raider Marching Band’s 42nd Annual Band Festival on October 3rd, 2026 is rapidly approaching! Ad space is available for purchase in the ad book that will be available at the show. 14 bands are participating in the show so this is a great way to showcase a local business or highlight your Raider Band student.
We are also looking for trophy sponsors for the festival. All trophy sponsors will be announced at the awards ceremony.

You are taking home a calendar and an envelope. Keep them in a safe place. You are responsible for returning them with your name printed on the envelope the evening of Wednesday September 30th.
Ask friends and family to “Sponsor a Date” on your calendar. They will give you an amount equal to the date. Example. 4th = $4, 23rd = $23. Cross off the date they choose and write the person’s name in the box. Put the money in the envelope.
Your personal fundraising goal is to complete 7 days on your calendar. If you do that you will have raised at least $28 for your band AND be entered in a drawing for a raffle prize! (Make sure your name is on your envelope!) Every box you fill in after that is helping your band get 1 step closer to its fundraising goals for the season.
You can ask your parents for help, but you should be doing the majority of the fundraising yourself. In addition to this paper, there will be a digital version posted in Google Classroom. You can download it to text and post.
Our fundraising goal for this fundraiser is $3,000! You can do it as a group if EVERYONE meets their personal goal!
